Divine House of God is a Spiritual Revelation Church.
In the simplest of terms, Spiritual Revelation is the discovery of God within. Spiritual Revelation proposes that the most fulfilling relationship does not exist outside of you; rather, it proposes that the perfect relationship already exists within you. Spiritual Revelation is the experience of God expressing in and through you as inspiration, revelation, a voice and an intuitive feeling. Because man is both human and spiritual, Spiritual Revelation is founded on the conviction that personal growth and self-discovery are possible when man's spiritual nature transcends his human nature. In other words, when man's human nature voluntarily surrenders to his innate divinity, transformation is possible.
Spiritual transformation is the most important work you can do because when you evolve spiritually, it influences everyone else from within. Not only does spiritual transformation positively change you, but it creates the possibility for others to change as well. It all begins when you aspire to know God.
There is a Sufi quote that says, "I searched for God and all I found was myself. I searched for myself and all I found was God."
Rev. Eileen S. Peters
Founding Minister
Sixteen years ago, acting on innate desire, I went church shopping. Without any previous church history, I was a blank canvas and one Sunday my heart heard what it had been missing. After I was ordained in 2002 as a Divine Science Minister, I continued taking classes, reading books and devouring ideas like four star meals. I am passionate about what I do because I am continually awed by God's process. I feel I am living the scripture, "Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth." I am passionate about being a minister because I am passionate about God.
This ministry embraces the mystical teachings of Jesus and references the philosophies of Divine Science (founded by Malinda Cramer), Unity (founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore), and Religious Science (founded by Ernest Holmes). |
